Information Collected and How We Use It
- Information You Give Us
We collect information you voluntarily provide to us, which may include information related to a donation (including payment card information), contact requests, employment applications, referral requests, appointment requests, bill payment, or comments. This information can include name, address, phone number, email address, demographic information and any other information you may voluntarily provide. We will use this information to fulfill the purpose for which you provide it (such as to process your donations, send service communications, provide you with our newsletter, and display content on our social media pages) and for our business operations. If you give us information in order to pre-register for behavioral health services through the website of an organization in our corporate family, that entity may share that information with contracted service providers to verify the accuracy of the data and complete the registration process.
- Information We Collect Automatically
We may collect certain information by automated means. This information includes cookies, pixel tags, IP addresses (which may reveal general location), mobile device information and other similar technology. We use this information to understand how visitors use our Sites and email communications, such as which parts of our Sites are visited most often. This information also may be used to analyze trends, administer and improve the Sites, detect and investigate activities that violate our policies or may be fraudulent or illegal, gather broad demographic information, personalize content and perform retargeting and remarketing. Our web servers automatically identify computers by their IP addresses. We may use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the Sites, and gather demographic information for aggregate use. For example, if you view specific pages or download information from specific pages on our Sites, we will track and add the number of your visits to the aggregate number of visits by all users in order to better design our Sites. Information you provide to us may be associated with other information we collect about you online or offline, and we may use this combined data to provide relevant Site and email content to you.
We and our partners provide features of our Sites using data collected through cookies and other tracking technologies (which we collectively refer to as “cookies”). These cookies fall into the following categories:

If you delete your cookies or if you set your browser to decline cookies, some features of the Sites may not be available, work, or work as designed. Please note that opting out of advertising networks or individual partners will exclude you from interest-based advertising conducted through participating networks (subject to any limitations in their policies and choice mechanisms), but you will still receive untargeted or contextual advertising. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose the requested information, which may include contact information (name and address) and demographic information (zip code and age level). SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT
Your privacy is important to us and we want you to feel comfortable visiting our Sites. We may disclose aggregated information about our users and information that does not identify any individual without restriction in accordance with applicable laws. We may share information about you with third parties performing services on our behalf that are contractually bound to keep that information confidential and to use it only for the purposes under which we disclose it. CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP OR CORPORATE ORGANIZATION
We may transfer to another entity or its affiliates or service providers some or all information about you in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, sale of assets or any line of business, change in ownership control, or financing transaction. We cannot promise that an acquiring party or the merged entity will have the same privacy practices or treat your information the same as described in this policy.
While we cannot and do not guarantee that your information will not be viewed by unauthorized persons, we take privacy and security seriously. We take precautions to keep the Sites and their systems secure and to prevent information from being disclosed to unauthorized persons or entities. Even though we employ these standard precautions and protocols, we cannot provide absolute assurances that the contents of messages, for example, will be secure. We encourage you to take precautions to protect your online communications.
SPECIAL NOTICE TO CA RESIDENTS
California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits California residents that have provided any personal information through the Sites the right to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes during the preceding year. We do not disclose the personal information of customers to third parties for any third party’s direct marketing purposes. You may revoke your consent to be contacted by us at any time by directly contacting us at [email protected] or using the opt–out method identified in the applicable communication. Many browsers and mobile operating systems enable you to indicate your preference regarding online tracking. You can set your browser or mobile operating system to a “do not track” or similar setting and, when your browser or mobile operating system passes your request to us, we will not serve you targeted advertising, although we may continue to collect data about your use of the Sites.
Our Sites are not intended for children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to or on the Sites. We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from children under the age of 18, and no part of our Sites is designed or intended to attract anyone under the age of 18. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS
If you use our Sites outside of the United States, you understand that we may collect, process, and store the information we collect from or about you in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in the U.S. may be different from the laws of your state or country. Any such transfers will comply with safeguards as required by relevant law. By using the Sites, you consent to the collection, international transfer, storage, and processing of your information.
