Nathan Farris is a Manager in the Assurance practice with over eight years of experience in public accounting, providing services including financial statement audits, overhead audits in accordance with Part 31 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, single audits under the provisions of OMB Circular A-133, and consulting and implementation of internal controls with an emphasis on mitigating fraud risks, financial reporting, compliance with funder agreements and federal regulations.
Nathan is a key leader in BPM’s Nonprofit Group. His industry experience includes nonprofits, consumer products and manufacturing companies, hi-tech companies, and consulting and service based companies. In addition to his unique combination of services, he is a key contributor to the nonprofit trainings at BPM and has lead workshops on nonprofit accounting and financial reporting. Nathan’s expertise includes complex accounting issues such as fair value measurements, alternative investments, complex contributions and capital campaigns, planned giving, endowments and UPMIFA, and grant accounting.
Nathan has his undergrad in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University and is a member of AICPA and CalCPA. In addition to serving on the Xolv Board, he is also the Board Treasurer for Knepper’s Alaskan Fish Camp. Nathan was a two-sport athlete playing football and running track at Azusa Pacific University. While his playing days are over, he still takes a team approach to his work by incorporating great teamwork, a solid game plan, and hard work as his keys to success.
